Today we celebrated our Family cum Merdeka Day celebration in Good Shephed Church. Mass started at 9am celebrated in English, Chinese, Tamil & Bahasa Malaysia. After Mass we were all treated to several cooking demonstrations by the different BECs after which we helped ourselves to lunch which was provided free to all.
Among the dishes and delicacies were the 'ondeh-ondeh', coconut pancakes, pisang goreng and other fried stuff, agar-agar, Indian '
kesari' - my favourite, Ang-Kuh kuih, and the highlight was the Dragon Beard Candy. Too bad there were no hot drinks - I really missed my morning hot coffee.
